Yes We Did!

Incredible News!
As you well know, Barack Obama is our president elect, and Sarah Palin is going back to her moose farm in Alaska.
No word on John McCain.
We walked to the press club just after McCain made his concedance speech, and it was packed.
There were fireworks on the streets (did you see?)
I felt like we were watching the Berlin wall fall.
Congratulations, world!

Now the bad news;

The results aren’t in yet, but if it passes, (even if it doesn't) we need to urge Congress to pass an amendment to the Federal tax code that prohibits religious organizations from the political activism, fundraising and campaigning from the Yes on 8 side.

Not only is it unfair that those organizations use, without tax penalty, funds their congregations intended for charitable work, it is also unfair that the donors in Utah can write off on their tax returns those donations that helped take away rights from Californians.

Did you know that over 80% of the funding on the "Yes" side came from the Church of Latter Day Saints!?!??!

To sum it up;
Mormons in Utah bought a constitutional amendment disallowing homosexual couples in California to marry.
unbelievable.
thanks guys.

Love,
Richard

This is a violation of peoples natural rights and a giant step backwards. The fact that out of state interests made this happen is just unacceptable.
