terrible news for Socks
Socks, the Clinton family cat (and former first cat) has ended his long fight with cat-cancer.
He was 19.
In December 2008, Socks was reported to be in failing health, apparently suffering from an ailment referred to as "kitty-cancer".
Socks was euthanized on February 20, 2009, in Hollywood, Maryland, after suffering from what reports have called "kitty-cancer of the jaw".
No news yet as to an investigation into Socks' death, as initial reports seem to indicate no foul play.
